Go to the Lake.

The lake is the perfect place to spend the fourth of July, especially here in Michigan. There are so many potential things to do at the lake such as going boating, laying in the sand, going swimming, or just floating in a tube. Watching the 4th of July fireworks on the water is always a treat, especially if you get to watch from a boat in the middle of the lake.

Have a Barbecue.

Spending time with family is good, spending time with family while making food is great. If you host a BBQ and invite your family and friends you’ll be able to talk and play games while eating food. You can ask people to bring different dishes to make it a pot-luck. Maybe even check out some red, white, and blue recipes to keep the BBQ extra festive.

Go to a Baseball Game.

The 4th of July is all about celebrating America so what could be more American than attending a baseball game? Many people consider baseball to be America’s pastime so why not celebrate America’s Independence Day at the baseball diamond? This is an event you can take the whole family to and if you go late enough there is a good chance they will set off fireworks after the game.

4.

Go see Fireworks

Pack up a picnic or some red, white, and blue themed snacks and go find a nice spot to watch fireworks. Don’t forget your picnic blanket to sit on and a blanket to cover up with when it gets cold at night. Get comfortable on your blanket and get ready to see an amazing light show.
